Billiards 8 ball Competition
This exciting 8-Ball Pool Tournament brings together seasoned pool players from across the state for a weekend of friendly competition and skillful play at The Crooked Cue, Colorado Springs newest pool hall. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the game, the tournament promises a fun and engaging experience. Come watch or participate in this thrilling showcase of talent and sportsmanship!

- 70-74
- 75-79
- 80-84
- 85-89

Tournament Director reserve the right to change the tournament format for any age division based on entry numbers, space restrictions, or other circumstance.
Competition Rules & Format
Format:

- Games will be played in a first 3 format (best out of 5)
- Tournament format will be round robin (pool play), with as many players as possible advancing to a single elimination championship bracket.
- Tournament Director may impose time limits during competition.
- During preliminary rounds, games shall not last over 15 minutes.
- Tournament bracket and all medal games shall not last over 25 minutes.
- If a time limit is imposed, the player with the most balls pocketed at the end of the time limit shall be declared the winner.
- In the case of any ties at the end of the time limit, all balls will be removed from the table except the 8-ball.
- The 8-ball is spotted and the cue ball is shot from behind the headstring.
- Lagging shall be used to determine order of play, and normal 8-ball rules shall apply.
- Awards will be presented for 1st through 8th place for each event within each age division.

- All Billiards events will be conducted in accordance with World Pool-Billiard Association rules, except as modified herein.

- Size of table used for competition may vary according to venue and final decision will be at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
- The cue may weigh a minimum of 10 oz. but no more than 25 oz. Players may use personal or borrowed legal cue sticks.
- Except for the break, all shots will be called.
- Lagging shall be used to determine order of play.
- Smoking will not be allowed by participants in tournament area, while tournament is in progress
