The Senior Resource Council is proud to sponsor the SRC Active Aging Scholarship Fund to help older adults participate in the Colorado Senior Games. This scholarship covers the full cost of registration for one sport per eligible athlete, ensuring more seniors can compete, connect, and stay active. Funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for athletes aged 50+ who demonstrate financial need. Scholarship FAQ's
What sports can this be used on?
The scholarship is usable for all 2026 Colorado Senior Games sports. Each sport has a different process for when and how the funds are allocated to the athlete. Please make sure to thoroughly read the scholarship sport details in the FAQs below.
How Does the SRC Active Aging Scholarship Work for My Sport?
The SRC Active Aging Scholarship helps eligible athletes (ages 50+) participate in the 2026 Colorado Senior Games. Depending on your sport, the scholarship is applied in different ways.
Sports With Free Registration Codes:
If you are awarded the scholarship and choose one of the sports below, you will receive a promo code for free registration. Enter this code during checkout when you register.
- Basketball Skills
- Billiards
- Racquetball
- Swimming
- Volleyball
Sports With Refund After Participation:
If you are awarded the scholarship and choose one of the sports below, you must register and pay the normal fee upfront. Once you compete in the 2026 Games, you will receive a refund within 30 days after the competition concludes.

Team Sports:
If you are awarded the scholarship and choose a team sport below, your Team Captain must connect with Evan Owen (evan@thesportscorp.org, 719‑634‑7333 x1002) to determine what percentage of the team’s entry fee will be covered.
- Basketball 3 vs. 3
- Softball
Participation
If an athlete is awarded the scholarship but does not participate in the 2026 Colorado Senior Games, they will not be reimbursed any competition costs incurred.
Age Requirement
All applicants must 50 years or older as of December 31st, 2026
Can I be awarded the Scholarship for Multiple Sports?
No, the scholarship is reserved for one sport per eligible athlete per year.
Can the scholarship be reserved?
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last.
Can the scholarship be awarded after an athlete has already registered for their sport?
Applicants must submit and receive approval prior to registering for their specified sport. Registering before the scholarship is awarded will make the athlete ineligible for the scholarship in that sport for the year
